The pale blue dot programme (BPP) was developed at the Faculty of Physics at LMU with the support of the "Sparkassenstiftung".

The ILF in "Gars am Inn" offers teachers in Bavaria the opportunity to take part in teacher training courses on the BPP. The BMBF supports the dissemination of the programme throughout Germany. The projects abroad were carried out with the support of the UNAWE programme.

Environmental education to raise climate awareness

The "Bayerische Sparkassenstiftung" has been committed to environmental education for a quarter of a century. Projects on climate change and environmental education are not just current matters of concern for us, but also play a key role in shaping our common future.

Our aim is to create an early awareness of the crucial importance of sustainable action and thus ensure that we and all future generations have a good future.

"Institut für Lehrerfortbildung (ILF)"

In a cooperation between the "Institut für Lehrerfortbildung Gars am Inn" and the LMU, primary school teachers are given support in encouraging and strengthening children's scientific thinking as well as their sense of global togetherness.

As a church-based further education institute, it is particularly important to us to contribute to the preservation of God's creation in order to protect our unique blue planet together, this wonderful gift of a "blue perl" in the expanses of the universe.
